Well here we are a few months later and the CD is finally finished. I am very happy with the music and very excited to hear some response about it. I am also hiring a radio and press agent to push it to jazz radio nationwide. The designs for the package are almost done and I have to admit that I am in love with it. Gary Malaskovitz shot the photos in my living room against a backdrop of some of the art in my home. Brenda Jaros has turned my design ideas into something beautiful and I am very grateful to both of them for making me look good. Hope to see you for the release festivities in Feb 08.

Mark Lucas and I have been in the studio working hard on the new CD. The mixing is finished and now on to the mastering. The difficult part of this work has been getting the levels right. We have a few tracks with just the guitar and voice and the rest with the trio and Mark. Getting the balence right between the two setups has been painstaking. Jim Barr has been extremely patient at the controls. Ultimately I am going to be really proud of the finished product. Look for feb release party to be announced soon.

Wow! I sure was pleased with myself yesterday. It is odd tho. This is the third year I have sung the anthem at a Pirates game and I never get nervous doing it. It gets even easier each year. It was the largest crowd I have ever sung before....38 thousand people. And instead of being nervous I have this real 'bring it on' attitude. Its priceless really and I have learned to bring that sense with me everywhere I sing. Yestserday on the way there, I decided that I needed to challenge myself this year. So, when I stopped at the rest stop in Bridgeville I tried the song out but i went for the high A instead of the lower finish note. I nailed it at the rest stop...the picnickers where curious as to who was this guy out on the grass singing the National Anthem...but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
I decided to go for it at the game. I did and it was mighty exciting.....so until next season......play ball!
