P A T R I C K A R E N A
Patrick Arena is a multi-faceted singer/entertainer.
As a jazz singer, song writer, teacher, producer and
music journalist he brings his years of experience to the
stage. As a child, he was a featured entertainer at the
Steel Pier in Atlantic City, NJ. and is a veteran of the
New York City nightclub and jazz renaissance of the
1970's, 80's, and 90's appearing at Eighty Eight's,
Don't Tell Mama, The Ballroom, Backstage, Copacabana,
The Duplex, Jan Wallman's and Reno Sweeney.
On the jazz scene, Patrick performed a series of
concerts with pianist Fred Hersch at the
New York Jazz Coalition. At the Jazz Center of NY,
he has played with other illustrious musicians including
Harold Maybern, Hilton Ruiz, Barry Harris, Gil Goldstein, Herman
Foster, Steve Sandberg, and Kirk Nurock. He has opened for Louis
Black, Frank Sinatra Jr, Julie Wilson, Jaffe Cohen and
Holly Hughes. Patrick has studied with singing legends
Abby Lincoln and Dakota Staton.
In 1999, Patrick relocated to Western PA.
In the region, he has become a busy performer,
voice teacher and coach. His own performances have
included shows at the Cabaret in Theatre Square, JazzLive,
Andy Warhol Museum, The Sanctuary, Shenley Plaza,
Hard Rock Cafe PGH, Sweetwater Center,
and the Shadyside Arts Festival.
He has 3 CD's to his credit under his own
production company Arenamusic.
